    Camaro and Corvette ECM

Is the LS3 ECM for the Corvette and Camaro the same? I cant find a whole lot about this, looks like some have 2 connectors and some have 3? I am not sure what the difference is though.

No. They're both E38 (except for the ZR1, which is E67), but the actual hardware is different. They're not like the 0411s from F-bodies and C5s that are completely interchangeable.

Thanks for the reply. I was going to pick up a Camaro engine harness but if the ECM's are different I guess I wont bother.

Quick search looks like the new supercharged engines use the E67? The E40 was for the LS2? But the E38 is LS3? But the LS7 used the E40 and E38?

Search also looks like the 2010-11 Camaro and Vette both use the E38, but the person above said they are different?

Why did GM have to make this so complicated?

Can anyone help me out a little more?

Not all E38s are created equal.

    05 Corvette, 05-06 GTO, and 06 Trailblazer SS are E40 vehicles. 06+ Corvettes are E38 except ZR1, which is E67. 10-11 Camaros are E38.

Wait this sorta contradicts yourself, unless you just meant that the Corvette used two different ECM's and if that was the case I should have specified LS3

Does this mean that there are different versions of the E38?

I am just trying to find out whether or not a Corvette E38 will work with a 2010-11 wiring harness or not.

My post does not contradict itself. The PCMs are not tied to an engine, but rather a vehicle and year (sans the ZR1).

    E38 for V8's
    E69 for V6's
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I think the 2010/2011 Camaro/Corvette pcm's(E38 wise) are the same as they use the same operating systems for the most part.

That doesn't mean a 2008 E38 from a Corvette is the same as a 2010 Camaro E38 hence what DSteck is referring to, I believe. And in fact attempting to write a 08 E38 os to an 2010 E38 will cause major issues & vice versa.

Just because it is labeled an E38 doesn't mean it's exactly the same. 2006-2008 PCMs in Corvettes don't work in 2009+ Corvettes, and 2009+ Corvette PCMs don't work in 2006-2008 Corvettes.

You asked what does a 2010-2011 Camaro use. I answered you earlier on that... it's an E38. That doesn't mean it's exactly the same as an E38 from another vehicle.
