    maf & ve tuning e40

i am tuning a 2006 grand prix gxp 5.3 currently with narrowband.
( only part throttle for now , until I install the wideband )

when logging for maf and ve. should i only log data in 3rd gear only or an average of all gears.
Would the shifting with the shift kit affect readings.

would there be any benifit in tuning only with stft vs using both stft and ltft.

    thanks

if you want good data, avoid sudden shifts, or any violent transitions for that matter. stable airflow is the only way to get reliable, clean data. long pulls in one gear help tremendously. loading the car differently than usual by going up or down hills helps too. driving for tuning is quite different from normal driving; you gotta 'discipline' your right foot, so the inputs are smooth and steady. if you lift throttle, dont lift partially, lift completely. this way it's really easy to filter out deceleration data (throttle pedal pid==0)
