    Throttle cut out, Ls2 HSV E40 Mafles tune

    Hi
    I Have a cobra with a ls2 6L hsv spec engine bought as a crate engine from
    Melbourne. It has an E40 ECM.
    I'm running a mafless tune but I've had problems with the engine going into
    a safe mode, back to idle, where I have no throttle pedal response, I have tried a few things in the eng diagnostics "air flow" changing Maf fail Hi to
    1hz ,and low to 100hz. this was suggested by other contacts on forums. It stopped again today on a drive, I normally turn ignition off for a few minuets and it rights itself, today It took four attempts to get throttle response. I have posted my tune if somone could have a look at it, any help would be much appreciated. very frustrated and not sure what

    Max dynamic airflow enable/disable values on for maffless, set ETC limits to (ETC TPS)100, set spark retard vs torque retard "0",TCS max torque setting to something realistic "950", set fail dc max to 200,(Engine diagnostics) max P0068 enable figure and set dtc p102 set to 0 or 2 mill for mafless.

    Will give this a go, the problem is intermittent so may take a while for me to see if this fixes it. Thanks for your help.

    Where did you get the E40 from?

    Where did you get the Pedal from and what is it from?

    Hi doubledip.
    The E40 came with the motor from preston motors in Victoria (new).
    Pedal from AMCAP, HSV pedal Part# 92189345 8 pin plug.
    What should I be using?

    so with the new E40 you then flashed on the tune you wanted with HP's?

    also what colour sticker is on pedal? blue or white?

    1.White sticker,
    2.Flashed a mafless HSV tune with HP's, turned off Vats.

    Ok. Pedal is ok but your problem is if the ecu was new out of spares then you cant go flashing a tune in with hp's like that. You need to have a base calibration put in first with tech2. Otherwise you will get random throttle problems.
