Im working on doing a MAF/SD tune on a bit of a frankenstein car. Its a 68 Camaro with an 08 Escalade L92 engine. The cam is an unknown aftermarket piece that seems by idle characteristics to be fairly large and is equipped with a mechanical timing limiter. The intake manifold is off of a 10 camaro, and it has an LS2 MAF.
Ive got the idle, and cruise portions of the MAF tuned just where I want them.. Im now working on the PE and such for WOT. I was getting a strange surge/cycling under WOT when I first started and it was really lean. I went ahead and put ALOT of fuel in the PE table to get it at least safe so I could back down to the AFR I wanted...
Now the surge/cycling issue is huge. It makes a noticeable difference in sound, power/torque output and even seems to make the AFR's jump around..
This cycling seems to affect EVERYTHING Im logging. Ive tried disabling the knock sensors (didnt make a difference) so I went ahead and disabled the Burst knock and it stopped showing knock retard on the logs but didnt seem to help with my issue.
It if it werent for fuel responding to the PE changes, Id swear it was bouncing in and out of PE mode.
Anyway, heres the files, please let me know if you can shed some light on this issue.
