    air bag help

    I have an 05 gto,just installed a roll cage,had dash all out of car so I took out passenger side air bag,does anyone know how to disable the code or better yet fool the computer to thinking its still in the car,thus geting no code? thanks...

    The airbag system is not in the pcm but in the bcm or airbag module. You would need a wiring diagram to figure out what wire needs power or ground or a loop to correct it. We don't have access to the airbag stuff.

    Do a search on google, there are companies that make air bag simulators. Most are a factory connector with a resistor wired in to it.

    In the Silverados as long as the airbag control module under the seat is unplugged the error message won't flash on the display. The light will still come on, but no flashing message at least.
