Thread: Ses Column?

    Ses Column?

    Hi,

I'm a total noob. No worries, I have SkyNet doing the tuning on my sky.
[That's Terminator2 for those who don't get the joke]

I was trying to eliminate the O2 extender and disable P0420 code.
In looking at previous threads people recommend setting it to 3 vs 0 and turning off SES.
The problem with that is I dont have an SES column. Is there a way to enable it?
    I only have 2 Columns
    Airflow and DTC's

arent you talking about disabling codes because you would go into the dtc list and find your p0420 code number and description. on the far right open the drop menu and change that code value to "do not report" now if thats the only code you were getting then yes it would never show up again.

I have seen screen shots of 3 columns
    One of which is SES
I do not have that column
I only have the option of choosing 0-21 on the DTCs.
The problem with that is PA requires all readiness tests to be run to pass emissions

Why do some posts have a 3rd column for SES?

    I am not crazy
    In the following post
    http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...nable+checkbox
    There is this picture

See how there is a third middle column that allows you to check.
That is the SES Enable/Disable Column

I do not have that column in my DTC display.

Is that from an older version of HPT?

FYI, while I wait for a replacement extender, I simply set the P0420 to 0-Disable

I won't be able to pass inspection until I re-enable that after I install the O2 extender.
I have until May 31 before the Fuzz come after me.

What version HPT you running? (though all should have it)
Can you post a screen shot of your page?
    "ctrl Alt Print screen"
    Then paste in Paint

Just in case you dont know how.

all the sky redline tunes in the repository for '08 do not have that in the editor file either so it looks like all you can do is turn the code on or off (0-dnr- do not report)

Ok I never looked at them.
They do seem to have many more options than just 0 - 3

Ya I have seen that now with the 08 Sky file I got from repository.

Though you do have more than just options 0-3 correct?
Like 5 Mil off Code stored etc etc ?

  14. #14
Yes, I have all the options.

I was just trying to see if I could get away with not installing the replacement O2 Extender but still pass the readiness codes.

No biggy. I'll install it when it arrives and get my stickers from "THE MAN"

What all options do you have for it?
One of them may be what you need.

  16. #16
    Its not an issue
I disabled it until I get my replacement part.
I should have that no later than early next week.

You can pass emission with code disabled. On my wifes redline I just cut wires to sensor and disabled all codes that go with that sensor.

Maybe in TX, but not where I live.
    Been there, done that

Disabling the code prevents the readiness test from completing and that prevents you from passing emissions here.

You have to have all readiness tests completed and no cels
