Thread: Stock PE vs Tuned PE

Question Stock PE vs Tuned PE

I have had my 06 GTO WOT dyno tuned only, and have been looking at various tunes from the repository and now I have a few questions before I change the settings...

On my original tune it has the following settings under PE enable:
    Delay RPM : 1000
    Enable RPM: 1200
    RPM Hyst.: 20

but after downloading and analyzing several tunes, the following settings are in almost all of them:
    Delay RPM: 5000
    Enable RPM: 1200
    RPM Hyst.: 50

why? and What effects do they make in drive-ability / throttle response?

Do you think that it is my tune that has been altered? Thanks in advance

Has nothing to do with performance, but mostly related to fuel efficiency and durability (warranty reasons).

Set the delay and all that crap to zero. I watched a tutorial here on HPT that explained it's a bunch of bullcrap.
Gray Ghost- The abomination. 2007 Chevrolet Silverado CCSB. 98mm turbo, nitrous, 428LSX, Rossler 80E with a brake. Finally finished. 23 psi, no numbers, Slow as hell.

PBM G8- Aluminum 364, twin Precision 67/66 turbos, 6L90 trans swap, CTS-V/Vaporworx fuel system, slowly making progress.

Dads 2011 CTS-V- Stock bottom end, stock heads, LS9 cam, pullies, ported blower, ported TB, D3 goodies, and lots of nitrous.
    618/618 motor
    906/862 spray

    Caterpillar 50 Forklift- Duramax swap

There is a timer for when it will go into Power Enrichment. Once your over 5000 rpm it will ignore the timer to go to Power Enrichment. On cars this timer is set to zero, so if your below 5000 rpm it will ignore PE Delay RPM. On Trucks this timer is set to 1.0 second before it will ignore the PE Delay RPM.

I went ahead and set it at 1300, that way, when I nail it from a slight roll, I am in PE in no time...

I was led to understand that it sort of blended the open loop and closed loop up intil the enable RPM.
