    Newbie needs the basics

I've built a 2010 6.0L LSX motor and have it installed in a 2001 Miata, with a T56 trans and 8.8 rear. The wireing harness is a 2010 GMPerformance Parts stand alone harness with a E38 computer. I had a dyno done on it but is really rich for everyday use. I bought the Hptuners standard in hopes of learning this technology and doing my own adjustments. So far I have registered and from there have nothing that gives me a hint on where to start this process. HELP!
Isn't there a step by step tutorial here somewhere? Step 1, Step 2?
I sure don't want to mess up this computer.
    Thanks
