Blue wire on AEM wideband?

Do you not use the blue wire on the AEM wideband? I know the red goes to 12+, black goes to ground, white goes to EIO 1 and then you are supposed to run another ground wire to EIO 5. The manual states that the blue wire is a serial output (connects to a RS-232 com port for hyper-terminal data logging). Is this blue wire not used for HP tuners?

just hooked mine up .

use white wire for hp tuners and leave blue wire alone aem told me its for a serial out put.
