    Exclamation IAC 98 Firebird 3.8?

    Is there anyway I can adjust the closing time on the IAC to prevent stalls?

    I don't see anything in the perameters where I can adjust that.

    Thanks for any help,
    Scott

    I'm not 100% sure what you are searching for. But if you can't find an appropriate parameter in HPT you could try Tiny Tuner. It's an alternative editor for BIN Files and supports more parameters (for V6) than HPT.

    Cool.. where do I find this Tiny Tuner? I appreciate your help!

    The only quirk to this car is I re-located the MAF pre-turbo and it's a LT1 Maf.

    So even with a large BOV it wants to confuse the MAF and I can't control the IAC at all.

    If I could tell the IAC to close slower it would prevent the stalling issue all together.

    It only stalls on hard accell and then letting off the gas quickly. Sometimes it catches

    sometimes it doesn't... restarts right away.

    Thanks again!!!!!

    Google 'Tiny Tuner'. You'll find it.
    Check before you consider tuning;
    Is the MIL on? ANY leaks-vacuum, fluid or exhaust? Clogged filters? Old O2 or dirty MAF sensors? Dirty injectors, PCV or IAC passage? Correct the condition. Change the plugs & oil while you're at it. They need it anyway. Particular system giving you fits? Visually examine the related wiring first.

    Don't mean to butt in, but have you cleaned your IAC valve lately? Mine was covered with a build up of sooty like carbon, causing hesitation on acceleration. Cleaning it solved the problem.
