Long cranking cycle before engine fires

The car is an 02 Camaro Z28 with LS7 transplant. Ever since the engine transplant, the engine has to turn over for 1-1.5 seconds before it fires. I've tried adding/subtracting cranking timing and altering cranking VE without any luck. Does anybody have a suggestion on what to test/tweak?

    TIA

Do you have the right cam and crank sensor setup? You need to either swap the crank reluctor wheel to 24 tooth or use a signal conversion box. The cam needs a 1X cam gear with the right adapter harness. LS7's all had 58 tooth reluctor wheel and a 4X cam gear.
