    E38 Differences 2008 vs 2009

My 08 Corvette with E38 has the 63.5 lb limit in the IFR table. I have looked at tune for 2009 Corvettes, also using the E38 and they do not have the limit.
Can I upgrade the OS on my ECM, or switch to a 2009 ECM to get around the limit?

Chris and Bill have a new Beta with support for a variation of different things. I'm waiting on the update so I get the Big MAF table.
Gray Ghost- The abomination. 2007 Chevrolet Silverado CCSB. 98mm turbo, nitrous, 428LSX, Rossler 80E with a brake. Finally finished. 23 psi, no numbers, Slow as hell.

PBM G8- Aluminum 364, twin Precision 67/66 turbos, 6L90 trans swap, CTS-V/Vaporworx fuel system, slowly making progress.

Dads 2011 CTS-V- Stock bottom end, stock heads, LS9 cam, pullies, ported blower, ported TB, D3 goodies, and lots of nitrous.
    618/618 motor
    906/862 spray

    Caterpillar 50 Forklift- Duramax swap

Do you know when this beta will be released? That will help me to setup my 80lbs injectors properly instead of scaling them.

I think you will still exceed the 1.36 g/cyl limit on the spark table.

Hadn't thought about that. Scaling with the A6 has not been working so well in the tests I've done and I'm exploring some alternatives.

You'll likely fry your pcm if you try and do so, GM changed the internals of the E38 pcm's over the last few years, we made a sticky about it

Most of the later 2008+ operating systems you can actually adjust the spark axis.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

A wise man once said "google it"

Guess I better look at the sticky next. Thanks to all who contributed so far.

    That's an editable axis anyways.

Am pretty sure the 08 and the 09 run a different brake controller which makes plugging an 09 ECM in an 08 a possible non runner - cant recall the exact details. But from memory thats the only major difference. There was a conversion done to put a '10 controller in an '09 so that the launch control worked, but apparently the '08 EBC is too different.

Dont flash an 09 tune into an 08. It is generally terminal.

    It was worth a try...

Looks like I'm back to scaling the tune or finding out if I can live with smaller injectors. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks again to all. Lots of really great information here.
