    Licensing question

I'm a newb, and not really sure what's going on here. I know this pcm has been tuned. The first screen shot is an error I got while trying to do a first read. The second screen shot is my licensing options. It's not giving me a single vehicle option???

I have not done any licensing yet.

    vin block is corrupt
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

What are my best options from here?

It did read the file on the second try. Am I not going to be able to flash this one?

Another PCM? Is it possible that the previous tuner put some sort of security on this one? If I get another PCM, can I copy the tune that's on this one over to another PCM, or is that going to cost me more credits? I'd like to start out with what I have for a baseline.

Oh, this is a transplant motor too.

BTW, the 4l60e trans is being controlled by a compushift, would I be better off finding a pcm from a m/t.?

    thanks

Thanks, not really what I wanted to hear, but I understand.

So if I go ahead and do the year / model license I can tune any 2000
    GM Firebird / Camaro V8? Also, can I use anyone's 2000 camaro / firebird
file without it costing extra credits?

So it looks like my options are to either spend 6 credits on this PCM, or buy another PCM
with a valid ID number and spend 2 credits?

    thanks

I'm running into this same issue. Got a ECU with a corrupted VIN block so I can't license it. Support told me to get it fixed but I'm not sure how to do that. I called 3 dealers and they have no idea what to do. Any further assistance in how to get it fixed? Does a dealer just need to use a tech 2 and upload in a new file with a valid vin?
