    Its got to be an issue with Windows 7 and permissions on installation. Hum. Im thinking of having it install to a different directory to fix the problem. 1.1.0 may just do that. I ran into this problem using InstallShield as the installer and thought it was that causing the problem so I switched to NSIS but I guess it wasnt it after all. Im gonna research this a little bit more.

    Looks like the first two lines may be the culprit ...

    It should read:
    <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
    <CarDataset xmlns="http://tempuri.org/CarDataset.xsd">

    and not

    "<?xml version=""1.0"" standalone=""yes""?>"
    "<CarDataset xmlns=""http://tempuri.org/CarDataset.xsd"">"

    what error message. Those error messages help me figure out what went wrong.

    It really sounds like you dont have permissions to write to that folder (installation directory), because on closing the app it writes your profiles and graphsettings to a file in that directory. If you dont have permissions it will throw an informational error message to let you know.

    that is what its doing.

    the only chevy profile still there is the cavalier profile.

    i made a camaro folder and everything but the cavalier is still the only profile.

    ive tried every form of xml that excel would let me save the file as.

    You dont edit it in excel ... its xml format is funky. Use Notepad.
    Can you save the files to the Cars directory? If you can save files there its not a permission issue. If you can not save there then it is a permission issue. If its not a permission issue it has to be the file format you are using (saving it in excel can cause problems).

    If you want you can send me an email with your cars specs and Ill send you a copy of the file to just copy into the Cars directory.

    You can literally just throw all the xml files in the same directory under Cars. I just seperated them on installation due to being easier to manage on my side. When the program loads it just reads the entire directory structure and tries to load every xml file it finds.

    Agreed. Which is why I recommended trying an admin account. If that works, then he can adjust the directory and file privileges from there so that his user account will have r/w/x access.

    Soon as its ready. Its a pretty darn big release if I might say so myself. Lots of fixes. Ive got to get some more time in the next couple of days to tie up some of the code. Dont panic its coming.
