I made a correction to the G8 XML file since I had them both listed as manual transmissions. I changed the GT to an auto and left the GXP as a manual since the gear ratios were different.

    Thanks for the input.

How do you load in another car that isn't currently stored in the program? Looking to run my 2004 Corvette coupe through your tool.

Go to the CARS directory where you installed Virtual Dyno to, and copy the corvette XML file and edit it and put it in the corvette directory. Let me know if I need to be any more specific.

Send me the following information: (The values are just surrounded by tags ... dont freak out ) TransTypeManual just lets me know if its a manual or an automatic. True is a manual.

    <CarMake>Pontiac</CarMake>
    <CarModel>G8</CarModel>
    <CarSubModel>GT</CarSubModel>
    <StartYear>2008</StartYear>
    <EndYear>2009</EndYear>
    <Weight>3945</Weight>
    <TransTypeManual>false</TransTypeManual>
    <TransGear3>1.532</TransGear3>
    <TransGear4>1.152</TransGear4>

    <DragCoefficient>0.33</DragCoefficient>
    <FrontalArea>21</FrontalArea>
    <TireDiameter>26.7</TireDiameter>

Dont worry we will get it added ... just need a little info on the car.

In fact if anyone has a car they want supported please look at post #107 You can either PM me the info or post it in the thread.

Im all about supporting more vehicles by default but its a humbling task to have to dig all that info up by yourself, and try to find time to code as well. Ive gotten the profiles screen pieced back together and eliminated PAGES of code by reusing a control that was already in place. So maintenance will be easier in the future. 1.1.0 is coming along quite nicely and should be out soon. I dont put any dates on releases due to testing and betas that are unpredictable. I try to get the big bugs worked out before release. Good news with this version is that you will know the second that a new release is out because the new version automatically checks for new versions for you. This should help out by allowing me to release smaller updates more frequently. (I HOPE)

Well enough rambling ... just post the cars info if you want them supported.

    Thanks for the support guys.

    Its literally that easy.

This is how all the mitsubishi and subaru guys have their vehicles in there.

I am doing this for donations only and working on my Masters at the same time and so I can either use spare time to develop new features and test those or do research on other vehicles. I feel like my time is better spent on development and leave the vehicle research to the community. You all know more about where that information is anyway.

Im working on getting some more HPTuners logs to test with to make sure HPTuner support is stable as can be.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide. If you find it useful there is a donate button in the app but its not required.

Hope you all enjoy it and I will keep developing it if you all will keep using it.

    This is pretty cool!

The only thing is if i edit the CSV file at all then it will no read it... i have logs of several vehicles i tuned that have alot of garbage in the file i want to delete... but keep getting an error.

I seen you posted you are trying to get that fixed.

Also an easier way to add vehicles that is integrated into the program so you dont have to make an xml and place it in the cars folder would be nice.

I am by no means complaining though man just making suggestions, mega props! Your program is awesome!!! If i knew more about programming i would be glad to help, but i dont, sorry.

Keep the updates coming!!!!! WE ALL APPRECIATE IT!

Im working as hard as I can on 1.1.0 right now and getting some major headway made on it. Im having to work around my clinical schedule which a little screwy right now. I hope you guys are patient as I am doing my best to get the next verison out.

I made some major code changes and updates so I want to make sure it all gets tested. I hope to have the Release Candidate to the betas next week. Thats the plan anyway. Just keeping you guys informed.

Here is a list of the changes made so far:

    - Fixed issue when RPM / TIME smoothing caused dives in power and torque
    - Fixed bug with time converter causing skewed graphs for some log types
    - Fixed disposal issue with popup messages
    - Added update checking to see if there was a newer version of VD
    - Added Print Preview, Page setup to the new print button on graph toolbar
    - Added colored version bar to give visual of latest version
    - Added Neptune log support
    - Added column OMNIMAP for Evoscan logs
    - Added error handling on save graph as image failure
    - Added E114 to show failure of deleting previous update file
    - Added 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 GT and GXP, 2010 Subaru Forester XT, 2010-2011 Camaro SS (L99)
    - Added right click menu to the main graph area
    - Modified car XML storage format to include year transmission type and submodel information
    - Modified add/edit profile screen to reuse the RunControl
    - Modified the car dropdown to include subfolders of make and model
    - Popup notification of success on printing graph and copying graph to clipboard
    - Removed recalculation of graph data when showing data points
    - Changed several menu icons to conform with current theme
    - Dropdown for smoothing selection shows selected item highlighted
    - Enabled hotkeys for some tasks

    Just keep the faith

Im sure it will ... I make releases every 2 months or so. Id like to make them sooner but with testing and such it just takes time. They should hire me. Id make sure things get done.
