    EVAP solenoid

    Hi guys,

    what is the difference between the EVAP and the catalyst?

    Evap purges vapors from your fuel tank, ctalyst is your cat converter.

    but there are doing the same job.......... purging the emissions

    Evap purge solenoid purges fuel vapor from your tank to your engine during engine operation. Your catalytic converter changes your exhausts chemical makeup with the use of the catalyst in side your converter. If I remember correctly it makes CO and HCC become H2O and Co2, been a long time since smog class.
