    12580698 2bar map vs 12615136

    When calling GM they stated the 12580698 had been superceded by the 12615136.

    However when we got one of these and tested it on a 2barSD car, it didn't run, put the 698 back on it and it ran perfectly. I don't know if we got a bad sensor, or if there is infact a differene between the two. Superceding the previous part # one would assume that it should be the same because if place back on the Cobalt it would have negative effects...

    So can anyone confirm that the 12615136 IS infact a useable 2bar replacement?

    12615136 is indeed the 2-bar MAP sensor which supersedes 12580698. I just spoke with GM about this last week and they confirmed that 12615136 is the new P/N.
