    P023f on 2010 Camaro

I've bypassed the FPCM on a 2010 Camaro to drive twin Walbro 255s. Now we get this code P023f fuel pump circuit open (or something like that). It must be coming from the body computer? Because that code doesnt show up under HPs list of DTCs. Anybody else ran into the same problem? Could some of the tables in the fuel system tab need to be changed to make this go away? Thanks, John

I ran into the same code on a 2010 Camaro with a twin Walbro setup, but one of them was actually still connected to the FPCM.

Hopefully E85 LSX can chime in, as he removed the FPCM completely from his car and has it working out.

I think to truly bypass it, you have to wire in a resistor that will supply the right resistance to get it to pass the check. Are you seeing P069E as well?

No p069e, but I have that shut off in program. I set all the fuel pump tables/DTCs as if it were a car without FPCM. This is the only code I'm getting. I left the FPCM wired up, just nothing on the fuel pump output wires. And yeah a resistor or light bulb across the wires was the only thing I could think of.

I had the same code come up when I disconnected the FPCM. I wasn't able to directly tune it out either since it doesn't show up in HP tuners DTC's.

I changed the following codes to "no error reported" and it went away:
    U0109
    P069E

What's odd is the current theory is that the resistance isn't solely the pump... that there's something in the line that adds to it.

I think I have both those off, but I'll have to check in the morning. Did you leave everything still powered up? Or is the FPCM unplugged completely? Maybe the codes coming from the module itself, simply unplugging it would work?

I was thinking that. Since its still seeing pressure from the sensor, it might cause the PWM to go crazy and throw some other random code we couldn't shut off

That could be part of the problem, however the car I had it surface on still had the FPCM fully functioning, just with an aftermarket pump. P023F still popped up.

The resistor isn't needed. My FPCM is unplugged and I have no codes and no issues.

Maybe the OP needs to disconnect the FPCM if it is not already. . .

I'm only suggesting the resistor if the FPCM is still plugged in/being used.

It all makes sense now, thats gotta be it. Sometimes it's the simplest things! I thought being completely unplugged might make for all sorts of issues, I'll unplug it in the morning and let you know. Thanks for the help

Make sure you're running a return style system, and you flatline the IFR table so that your injector data works properly.

Yep, running an Aeromotive regulator and 72 lb injectors. Just couldnt figure out this damn CEL!!!

On the first dyno pull, car made 678 RWHP with 10 lbs boost and 14 deg of timing on a stock bottom end, had to turn that down real quick

What are you doing for boost? I did a Whipple car that blew past the 600 mark without breaking a sweat on ten pounds, but a ZL550 Camaro with a pulley and headers struggles to make 500whp on ten pounds (auto car though).

Cool, simply unplugging the module fixed it!! Never thought of that Thanks Dsteck and E85 LSX for the help
