Config for 2010 Camaro SS Supercharged

I installed a Whipple Blower on my 2010 Camaro SS with Manual Trans. I'm going to the dyno tomorrow, so I need a config so I can log the car while on dyno.

    Thanks,

    Ray

I'd suggest making your own config, otherwise you don't really learn anything.

FYI, you should put a 12592525 MAP sensor on, otherwise your WOT fueling will get skewed and the error will have to be baked into the MAF. I literally just finished a 2010 with a cam and a Whipple on Saturday. Did 627/550 on only 10psi! As a tip, 11.0 AFR with about 12* of timing ended up being what the car liked the most.

It also lets you log boost. Cheap too.

Dsteck What pulley were you using??

I use the cobalt barometer sensor on my TBSS. Cheap easy way of having boost pressure on a log file.

4" pulley, stock crank pulley. It would hit 9psi easy, but taper to over 10psi by about 5000rpm.

The ZR1 sensor is only about $37 shipped from gmpartsdirect.com, and is a DIRECT replacement in LS3 applications. Literally plugs into the same harness and has the same dimensions as the stock sensor. You just have to edit the calibration data in the diagnostic part of the tune.

Well I'm pretty impressed with my dyno results.....

602/551 on 8psi no tuning done yet.... 11.9 afr got a few blips of kr right at the top of the run (5800rpm), ran to 6300

The map would only go to 120kpa... so if I put the ZR1 map sensor in, it will help with the tune and allow me to log the boost?

Yes. Then you can log up to 300kpa or 30 lbs of boost. It will also report the correct inj pressure delta when the boost goes over 120 kpa keeping it from leaning out. Pressure delta is about 4 or 5 psi less than reported in your case so injectors actually flow about 5% less than the computer thinks they should. This can be corrected by adding to the top of MAF table but its just not the RIGHT way to do it. You do have to change the MAP sensor calibrations as mentioned before or the car will barely run. (I tried it just to see) Here are the settings.

    Linear: 312.50
    Offset: -11.25

You've got to be happy to have over 600 hp out of the box. That is great. I love my whipple. I should take it to the dyno just to see what kind of numbers it makes and verify my WB accuracy. I don't have headers yet so I won't come close to the 600 mark I'm sure. I am supprised you were only 11.9 AFR. Mine would have been a lot leaner than that from the start. My IFR table was about 7% too high and bone stock my MAF needed about 5% more up top. Add that to the apx 5% error you get with the stock MAP sensor under boost and it gets dangerous. I fixed all that before I even bolted the blower on so I was really close out of the box.

So, can I just edit the tune I got from Whipple with HPTuners? Or do I have to start from a stock file?

Install the 3bar map, change the MAP config settings in the tune and you should be set. Then you an fine tune the MAF and the inj delta pressure shouldnt offset over 10kpa.

Im trying to figure out how to do the 2.5bar OS.

No need to. They work just fine in pure MAF mode. What's there to figure out though? HP Tuners tells you how to set up the 2.5 bar OS. It's easy.

I was considering the 2.5 bar myself. I have to go back to my original OS to do so. I have a slight hessitation when you first stab the throttle. AFR goes lean and rpm drops for a few frames on the scanner. This is very slight but it bugs me. Thought fixing the VE tables and enabling it again might help that or do I need to mess with transient fueling? I have never touched those tables. The lower fan temps would be nice but not really that big of a deal. Whipples tune has them on low all the time and high at 196.

Sorry if I'm jacking your thread but this is about a 2010 Camaro w a Whipple.

I am adding the 12592525 MAP Sensor to my SC maggie 2010 Camaro, is there anything else I need to change in the tune other than the MAP sensor calibrations to make sure everything runs correctly? Upgrade to the 2.5 bar ?
    Linear: 312.50
    Offset: -11.25

    Thank you!

What range of IAT are you seeing?

Thanks! I just installed the MAP and changes the calibrations for the sensor and all is well so far, I will do some logging to check everything else out.

From what I have been studying and reading I also need to upgrade to the 2.5 bar so I can adjust the 160 thermostat and hopefully have a real VE table to use and tune with.

I'll check the IATs after my logging runs
