    0411 PCM swap

I've read a lot about the 0411 express van swaps into a 98 vortec truck but the 0411 came in a lot of suburbans, vans, ect. Can you use any 0411 out of a V8 truck platform. Reason being, I have a surburban 0411 PCM but the pin out isn't perfect. It's missing a lot of EGR, 4WD, and the one that worries me the 5V TPS wire (on the 0411 side). Anyone know what the deal is?

the pinouts could be different from year/make/model to y/m/m. pick the operating system you plan on using and pin the pcm for that os. 0411 was also in cars.

Everyone that I talk to said use an x van or light truck 0411 cause the OS and pin out is the same in 2001 - 2002. Anyone know if the 2001-2002 Suburban is the same OS it's a light truck platform? Don't know why GM would put a differnt OS in a suburban than a truck or van but who knows why they did half the things they do.

To use a distributor type ingitiona on a 411 ECM you must use the 01-02 Express Van vin # AND pinout. These must match. The ECM does the rest from there, so to speak. This is the only way to do it, get a bad wire diagram and or vin and she won't run either at all or run right.

I have done a few of these now.

    Edit:
No, the 01-02 Suburban is not the same, it had coil per cylinder ignition. The ECM systems are differant for a reason, not cause some geek programmer was bored. Wire pinout is differant, ECM calibration of VIN is differant for the pinout.
