    "LS3" 3 bar map sensor 12592525 on gen III?

    Posted in an existing thread in the gen 4 section but they weren't much help. I am building a 02 lq4 with LSA heads and a ls3 intake and was wondering if the 12592525 3 bar sensor off the LS9 would be a plug and play (with the correct harness) using the custom 3 bar SD OS on a 02 silverado pcm. Or does anyone know where i could find out?

    Looks like the post was under Gen IV, but it still applies. If you can change the offset and linear values for the MAP sensor in a Gen III, then you can use the 2525 MAP sensor, but for some reason, I'm thinking you can't enter a negative offset value in the Gen IIIs. I could be totally wrong.

    you're right. I automatically changes to 0.00 is there any way HP can fix that?

    bringing this back... did you ever figure it out...

    can this sensor be used on the gen3 stuff?

    ive got an 03 lq4 computer that id like to use for >15 psi

    Another bump to find out how to use the LS9 sensor in a Gen 3 02-Fbody.
    2000 T/A - Thompson Motorsports 416ls3, F1A procharger, HP tuned. Just a couple psi of boost.
    2013 Mercedes C350, wish HPtuners worked.

    You don't, unless you want the manifold pressure readings to be inaccurate.

    What sensor are people using for 3 bar? Regular gm brick?

    lol, I just bought the zr1 3 bar map.... looks like I just wasted some money.

    I've got a 01' silverado 5.3

    They're using the GM brick or the Duramax sensor.

    Probably use the brick. You have any idea what the linear and offset are for those?

    Why cant i just send a request to support to change the Map Sensor offset so it can have negative values for the Pcms that cannot be adjusted to use sensors using negative values

    we're looking into fixing this for LS1 PCMs. The MAP Linear and Offset will be in the editor for the stock OS and also fixup the negative thing.

    i have held off on ordering a Map sensor because they said maybe!,But when the machine shop is done balancing and boring my block somethings gotta happen.
