    6L80E TCC Apply Issue Fixed!!!

Anyone running the 6L80E transmission now has the availability of full lockup at any speed/psi (tranny integrity limiting). Vince has re-wrote the code for all us guys wanting WOT lockup on our triple disk, or even the guy just wanting the extra MPG gained from zero slip. NO MORE PULSATING!!!! PM me for info. Or call Vince at 425-844-0320. Oh, you can also overlay your HP tune on top

You can call Vince and he will give you a couple options on how to acquire his OS. The beauty is you can still run your HP tune. He has been logging all day and I will start tomorrow with my Camaro. The fix is global so it will probably require tweaking based on converter setup. I know the G8's, trucks, and corvettes all slip cruising down the highway (because I've loaded their OS), I have fixed this by tricking the TCM, but Vince has done even better by re-writing it.

Waker, I would like to look at the TCC program for the 6L80. I have an '09 G8 I am currently working on the trans and your post looks like it may address one of the things I have been dealing with. Sure appreciate it!

Vince is currently selling the flash which zero's out all desired slip tables and changes the min apply to zero. He will soon be adding my tranny tune to his flash, but we are not quite there yet. With the G8's, as well as most other 6L80E applications, you will see an increase in mpg after the flash. Almost all of GM vehicles running anny version of the 6L80E have a desired slip of around 100rpm while cruising. This new flash will eliminate the slip as well as increase the converters life.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but if the tables can be accessed and modified, why are they not available in the HPT software suite for this transmission?

HP nor EFI live are accessing these.

I actually brought this up almost a year ago and have mentioned it several times after. The ramp table does nothing to alleviate desired slip or the oncoming TCC preset value that is destroying aftermarket converters.

When you add the desired slip tables, don't forget about giving access to the TCC min apply.

Chris we need the TCC min/max apply tables like we had access to in the previous GM tunes.

The ramp did nothing for me as well, I am still running the stock converter but I would like to be able to do those tables like I did before to get rid of the slip. I always ran 90% in my minimum table and 100% in the maximum to allow the converter to lock instead of slipping. Helped with gas mileage and the "harshness" that GM is trying to get rid of never bothered me in the first place.
