Hp Tuners on a i pad

So i need a new lab-top for the shop. I have been thinking about get a i pad just don't know what i would do with it. I figured now that the time has come to update the lab-top i use for tuning, maybe i could use the i pad to tune with? So can this be done or is anyone using a i pad to tune with.

Doubt its been tried yet, however if its similar to mac's regular pc's you'll probably have to run parallels or bootcamp+xp to get it to work.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

In a simplistic way you can do it now with existing software, but you will need a laptop aswell.

What you want to do is run a laptop as you normally would hooked up to HPT.
The laptop must be a high end version of Windows that has Remote Desktop (you could also just use a VNC client) iTap make the best client for for iPad/iPhone I reckon.

From there log into your laptop from your iPad/iPhone and tune as per normal.

Skip anything with an Apple symbol on it unless its used. Even then compare it to a similar spec PC product to meet your tuning needs. You'll dream yourself back into PC land everytime. I've used a 20.1" Hp "Dragon" Laptop for tuning and now FINALLY got away from strapping that BEAST in with a seatbelt to using my 11.6" Hp Mini 311 Laptop. Both were used and purchased atleast 50%+ off retail. www.Craiglook.com is your friend!

Thank you for all the feed back. I think i will most likely wind up with this lab-top here. After having one of my computer techs go on a rant about apple.

iPad does not run a windows OS.

However, any tablet that runs a windows OS I'd like to develop software for.

This is a really simular setup to what I have and it works great with zero problems.
