Car wont start IAT 284* ?

New installed engine, new 100mm MAF, new 60# injectors

Car gurgled once and wont start, can smell fuel.. it does hold pressure there are no leaks.

I'll post the short file but the

    IAT reads 284 ?
The MAF table I just rebuilt and did not try to start but the intake air temp is my concern. I used the 5 wire conversion cable for the IAT and MAF sensor... it did have a separate IAT and MAF before. Car is a 99 Camaro SS.

DO I need to do a crank re-learn or something as well as WTF with the 284* IAT?

    The a/f was not connected.

Is your IAT sensor good? Did you try to start the car with the hood open? That way you get cool air in.

Yes and yes.. the sensor in part of the maf sensor 100mm TSP MAF but the unit itself is common delphi

My guess is it has something to do with being in close or open loop? No clue, but that is the only thing I could see that struck me curious.. I will try again with the new tune (maf calibration and see what happens. I can take the air lid off if I want as the MAF houses the IAT and make sure the intake is getting air. The TB does not have a hole in it but I do have adj screws for the blade opening.. just not sure how far to have it open to try and start the car?

I think you have a wiring issue, recheck the pins to make sure they are correct.

OK.. just flashed the new tune and tried it to no avail. It smells like gas too, like it needs more air for sure. Here is the tune and log file of the no start attempt. I will check out the wiring/pins on the iat and maf now.

If your IAT is reading 284 cold, you have a wiring issue, not tune

Its reading 284 hot and I checked out the pins, they are correct. Could something in my config file being doing it ? Did I make a parameter show like this somehow?

IAT is getting a high voltage fed directly back to the input ...it's wiring or it's bad. It's more than likely wiring since your ECT is open to the PCM (wiring most likely) as well (reads -38deg).

the ect is not connected, I'm using an aftermarket gauge. I can pop the original IAT back on and see if that changes it. Steve I need your dual flash ecu for a customer of mine anyway. Can you look at my tune and see what you think ? Send me a pm or call me (877) 519-7631 or send me your number and I'll call you. 99blancoss

Could my ecu be bad? the harness was pulled and checked all the way from each sensor to the pins on the ecu connectors

Why would you disconnect the ECT? The PCM needs that data.

    THIS.

Try a different IAT and see if the wiring is OK. Get that ETC plugged in too. No surprise it doesn't want to start without the ETC.

Didn't know it needed the ECT for the engine to run, I wanted an accurate gauge so I went with autometer gauges. Its a quick easy job to put the original ect back in, I will do that and swap out the IAT as well and post up my results. I'm not a tuner/..LOL thats why I am here

OK swapped the IAT for teh original sensor.. now reading 72* and its 72 outside

Same for the ect.. reading 75, my guess is the block held a little heat from the warm day..LOL

chickenshit thought right now to try and start it thought... LOL neighbors are all outside.. it would be embarassing to hear yaditititititititi and no karoombabababrumble rumble .. I'll give it a few and then try and start it and post a log file.

Thanks for all the help so far though

We have ignition!!! OK now what?
Didnt run for long as it was dark and I couldnt see and I want to be able to check for leaks and stuff but I got a a little bit. Only got to 120* idle started getting real low and it died but I need to do a few things before I can drive it.
