Anybody Used HP Tuners to Tune a 2010 GT500?

I'm new to the GT500 stuff, but not new to tuning. I've used HP tuners to tune many GM cars and trucks and would like to be able to use it on my GT500. Seems like all they have over on that side is the SCT programmer and some canned stuff. I'm not crazy about buying one of those and having to email someone to send me a tune. I prefer to do it myself.

Anyone have any experience tuning a 2010 GT500?

you'll pick up some great gains all across the powerband.. its a lot easier tuning the GT500 since there are no VCT adders..

yes they can... i've never had any issues tuning with the Ford stuff. Only thing I hate is the write and read rate on the 2004 F150s!!!

I learnt on an I6 in SD.. Started tuning V8s and had my experience in GM for over 4years. Learning the Ford was hard at first coz it was a completely new system, but I've got the hang of it and if used right, (with a couple more updates from HP Tuners - FASTER FRAME RATE & MORE PIDS) it's a great tool to use!

Does the basic program work or do you need the beta? Anything I need to watch our for when tuning? I'd really hate to spend $100 on some Ford credits and not be able to do anything.

    newest beta would be necessary
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

frame rates have nothing to do with HP Tuners.... that part of it is determined by the PCM...communications bus might be too slow to get faster frame rates.

PID's are sort of half and half... yes HPT can add all of the avilable PID's...but they cant add PID's if they dont exist in the PCM.

also is a pain in the ..... when the software tells you ..unable to read vcm
back in mexico the dealers use some kind of black magic in the software in the fords the mustangs are ok but the trucks sucks ..rigth now i have a '07 expedition5.4 3v in my shop and the costumer is desperade to pay me big bucks only for raising the speed limiter and some low end torque gain but the HPT only says...no... i cant read that piece off crap VCM

    anyone ....help¡¡¡
    im including the infolog

Its because they are not a currently supported vehicle, while we MIGHT be able to add read support it would be a very low priority to add tuning support for such a vehicle.

Its hard enough keeping up with the fords that we currently support, adding new vehicle support would be a deathwish.

I've seen the SCT scanner, and it's live... I jump from 3.6V to 4.2V in one frame of HPTs, and RPMS jump from 3800 to 4400rpm.. How we supposed to fine tune these vehicles specially when we look into Turbocharged applications, within a split second MAF Vs would go from 3.0 to 5+, where's the resolution?

Dunno, thats the best we could get it without it dropping frames. No idea how they are doing it.

I implemented a priority system for the newer Dodge vehicles, but forgot to adapt the tech to the other modes that can use it, oops.

It will make a noticeable difference.

3 hours to fix that... should show up in a beta in the near future. Not sure if it will be user editable via the table display yet, but at least IAT/ECT won't be polled as fast as spark/maf/map

I just updated the threading code for the scanner as well. Logging 20 bytes of data the scan rate was more than double vs the older code.

This will dramatically increase SAE scanning methods for other vehicles as well.
