    ETC throttle problem

Has anyone here every heard of a ETC failure causing the throttle to go to WOT? Yes I mean like Lexus Toyota WOT failure. I personally have not but I just heard of one with a standalone E38 PCM using a 07 Corvette calibration. What I had heard was that the owner was going down the high way when it goes WOT. It was during slow speeds, he hits the brakes and its still going. He gets its stopped eventually but hits a car at 20mph. I think he hit the brakes and the throttle at the same time from what the guy said the harder he stands on the brakes the more throttle it applied. Anyone ever hear of such a thing happening with a GM ETC? I have not.....and I searched high and low.

i'd put in the clutch and say bye bye to motor!

the more he steped on the brakes, the more throttle got applied, is because he was stepping on the gas pedal.. lol

I will never understand why people don't just put it in neutral and shut the engine off.

Never heard of a runaway throttle actually happening on a GM, but that doesn't mean it can't happen.

Haven't heard of this since the early days of ETC development on LS1's. And that was before they hit the roads.

Wonder if it was a stocker or had been tuned or maybe even had a throttle position multiplier on the pedal circuit.

never seen it happen, heard of it though. this is exactly why p0068 should never be disabled on any street driven car. it is there to prevent something like that.
