Your serial number is located on the back of your interface. Your software is located on the disk that came with your interface. Its also available on your customer login page at www.hptuners.com

    Bill,
I’m having issues with my laptop and have purchased another, that being said how do I work with the tunes stored on my current PC? I know I can reload all software, but will the new laptop recognize all the tunes I have modified?

    Regards,
    DWC

Yes once you ping your interface it will, licenses are stored on the interface(for MPVI users).

Bill I am in the same boat -My Laptop crashed and I had to redo everything (Windows XP home edition 32 bit) I have loaded everything and now it seems to be good, it seems that all is finally well with the USB drivers being installed-

Now however I "CANNOT" seem to get the licenses to be recognized on the interface - You stated above I need to ping the INTERFACE!

How do I do that so it will recognize the licenses or PING it to have it recognize the licenses?

Will I also have to do the same for the Windows 7 when it shows up and after I install the 2.24?

I have mine and a few friends tunes on my computer (backed up files thank goodness) and mine and their licenses in/on the interface and need to access them! Please help!

I do, as well have another laptop on the way and I will be using Windows 7 and will download the new 2.24 on it and hook everything up to it as well (hopefully without a hitch) - But for now I need to use this one and it still has the HP Tuners 2.1.18 (I had to use my original CD for the installation)

    Thanks,Matt

Gotta take off for work: Question

Do I need to hook it up to the Vette in order to ping the interface?

I had some trouble installing the MPVI Drivers but now when I plug it in it says MPVI A, B the correct way, however when I unplug the interface they go away!

Should the drivers stay or does it show up in the USB driver list when it is plugged in?

I do have all my tunes loaded on the Laptop now and when I open it up that is when I get the message No License for this Vehicle etc>

    Thanks,Matt
