    VE tune help

    i have a 2006 grand prix 5.3 LS4.

With the articles that i have looked at trying to tune the VE table.
we are to disable the MAF,, copy high ocatane table to low octane table.
    enable TPS to 100%

i am not sure if this is normal but shifting during the MAF disabled is very harsh
feels like it slams into gear on part throttle.

    any help would be appreciated.

I get the same thing. I am having the hardest time tuning my ve table and Maf table, and nobody seems to want to help.

Unfortunately I can't provide any direct, hands-on experience for your transmission issue. But, if its bearable (i.e. not going to break anything), then you should be able to tune your VE table in a couple of hours and then you can put the new VE table back into your stock file and not have to worry about the hard shifting. If you're concerned about it, then I would wait until someone with more experience with your issue chimes in.

It looks like you had several people providing advice in both of your threads...and you didn't post follow up questions at the end, so...if you have a specific question...ask?

I had a similar issue SD tuning our Grand Am- turned out that there were some dtc's that needed to be turned off. Start with any MAF related.
