    69lt1bird - MAF tuning

You provided a link in your signature on how to tune your MAF.

You indicate to flash the car back to 'normal' then:

    1) Create OLMaf (bin)
    2) Disable Closed Loop.
    3) Dynamic Air - Hi/Lo RPM Thresh = 0
    4) Create PID table for MAF only tuning.
    5) Setup a MAF AFR Error Histogram

(With a note that yours indicates Decel Fuel Cut off is filtered out.)

I guess where I get lost is step 5 and 6.

Sure I can setup a table that looks exactly like your screen shot, and a Histogram that's the same, but your screen shot Histogram shows a VE table not a MAF table.

I still don't understand how to create your own Histograms or reference filters and how you even know what sensor [SENS.121] is.

Also; following these steps, wouldn't the STFT and LTFT throw everything off? or do they not come into play because of CL is disabled?

Never mind I figured it out.

P.S. Setting Closed Loop ECT Enable to 284 did not prevent the Trims from running. I had to actually disable the trims to perform the MAF tune.

    (2005 CTS-V / LS6)

I think I have everything pretty dialed in now, however the car shuts down and goes into some kind of limp mode if you go WOT and surpass 5400RPM with the MAF Fail set to 0 Hz. (at least I think that's the cause?)

I had the car shut down on me 3 or so times, all WOT all around 5400RPM.

Once it happens it idles like garbage and won't rev past 2K (even with the clutch in.)

Shutting the car off, and starting it back up only fixes it if you open the door after shutting it off...

Guess I'll see how it drives tomorrow.

check DTC 1514/0068 and MAF cylinder max in Engine Diagnostics via logging. May need to factor up. Some set DTC 1514 to all max, but then you disable a runaway TB failure override.

That very well may be it.

Why does it only occur in SD?

After 5000RPM it starts to fall pretty fast.

    Labels 5000 5500 6000 6500 7000
    Maximum Cylair 0.85000 0.82000 0.76000 0.71000 0.68000

I'll check the codes, I've been ignoring the light.
