can the wideband sensor and gauge be seperated?

i plan on getting either an lc1, or aem uego wideband. and making it portable, but i wanna know if i can keep the gauge in my car, while using the wideband with hptuners on other peoples cars, or are they all together?

You can have the gauge in your car. But you need a control box for it to read. You can log in hpt without a gauge, using only the control box. So if you are wanting the gauge to be operable, it will not be without the control box.
