G8GT Fan settings
I've used the same fan settings i had in the Goat, fan1 comes around 201F, fan2 comes up at 210F. the thing i've noticed is that now fan1 doesn't turn off unless the car is moving. in the Goat this was never an issue, max ECT was 199F, and fan1 was never running for too long, even in 99F summer days with lots of stop and go driving.
This is what i have them set at:
The G8GT seems to react a lot different, in stop and go traffic, fan1 would turn on, but the ect would go between 203-207F with fan1 active, and won't stop until the car starts moving, where it would drop to 199F where i'm telling the fans to shut off. haven't had the opportunity to take a log on the freeway to see where the ECT would settle.
I wonder what most of you are using for fan settings with stock thermostat with the G8GT's, or what would be considered optimal ?, factory calls for fan1 at about 221F and both fans at 228F.
I don't mind fan1 been on most of the times in stop and go situations, but i'm not sure if doing so is good for fans longevity, and i'm certainly not used to the sound of them driving around the city.

Thanks a lot man, now that i see different numbers, i think the % fan desired needs to be adjusted to run faster in my case. i always thought to use them at the minumum % to simply enable/disable the fans per fan state logic and ECT. maybe they're not shutting off cause 51% in my case is not enought to bring down the ECT at idle. i'll experiment with this. Thanks one more time.
