Converting to 3bar from 2bar

I have a 2 bar os on the pcm now. I need to convert to a 3 bar for more boost.
I have attempted to do it thru the os function with no success.

Does the PCM need to be reflashed to stock?

I am having this same problem, but the 2 bar was already applied to the car by someone else so I do not have the stock operating system. What would my options be to convert it to a 3 bar operating system?

by no means am i sure but from what i have read you would have to get a stock OS from repository. This would cost 2 credits unless you have your year model unlocked. then you would have to use 2 more credits for the 3 bar. hope this helps.

Flash back to stock with a Tech II. That would be cheaper than using 4 credits for a tune from the repository (that might not be stock) plus the enhanced OS, as you already used 4 credits for your PCM.

So Hp Tuners can write entire with a stock file, were as a Tech II can't? Even though the custom OS isn't tuner locked?
