Having a problem modifying and saving a VCM EDITOR file

Trying to get the hang of using this SW.

I'm having trouble with the VCM Editor.

After modifying a value in the tune the computer really slows down. If I check my Task Manager is indicates VCM Editor.exe is using a bunch of RAM and ~50% of my CPU. Even behaves like this if I edit a Speed Limited - does this without initiating a save.

If I do hit save - it gives me the "Preparing VCM Data" progress bar and just hangs at Validate 4: 99%.

What am I doing wrong. Acts like this on two different XP64 computers.

Windows XP64
3.00 MHz
4.0 GB RAM

Any ideas?

Tried that with a SYMANTEC scan. The MPVI works fine. I'm talking about modifying and saving the .hpt files on my computer - before flahing to the ECM.
