No there was a checksum error when I tried to read the ECM. It seems like the files are corrupted on the comp..William at HPT is trying to figure it out but he thinks the comp has a bad write to it from the guy I bought it from..

The most common error for checksum/validation check errors on these applications is the gmpp supercharger flash which is the reason I asked if it was previously tuned as its pretty common with their stage flashes that they disable the checksums.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

AH, OK, well I asked if it was and he said it was a brand new computer? I think I will just trade it for another just like my original, then I can use one for race gas and one for pump maybe? Or just as a backup. Any news on the Definition file yet?

This is true but the vin I gave him was not a supercharged car. You think maybe it was just a bad flash in the first place?

dude, go to autotrader.com or ebaymotors, search for a 2002 cavi, and use one of those VIN's, they are listed with each add. LMAO that you paid for it. oh well, live and learn.

Yeah, its cool, he's gonna swap it out for another one and I found a vin for an 02 automatic Vin F 2 door car, so it should work, at least it will give me a fighting chance.....On a good note, you actually DO have a GM supercharger re-flash computer for an 03!
