How long has scanner had dy/dx filter?

I was making a custom PID today in the scanner and noticed that there is now the option of dy/dx (transient) filtering. How long has it been there I don't remember it being anounced?

Its been in the beta software for about a year give or take.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

It lets you filter based on the rate of change of something. For example you can filter out any data points when the throttle % is changing more than a certain amount. This gives you more consistent data as it filters out the transient conditions.

Can somebody give us an example of how to use it? I haven't poked around in 2.23 that much.
