I just wanted to check on something, and I figured this would be the best way to ask. In logging data I am logging both TqMgmt Adv (º) and Advance (º). I am seeing positive values in TqMgmt that correspond to a drop in overall advance. So, I am assuming that a postive value in the TqMgmt Adv (º) is the number of degrees of retard that Torque managment is commanding. In my case it about a max of -9º total timing on upshifts. I want to verify that is a correct assumption.
Now, I understand that with a 4L70E or any of the "stock" 4L60 variants that you need some torque management tot keep the tranny alive. So, that is all well and good.
One of the areas beside the upshift I am looking at improving is the inital throttle tip in. I see no TqMgmt Adv (º) like I see on upshifts. But, when you hit the throttle on intial "tip in" (say going from a dead stop and going to 99% ETC you see timing pulled down to -9 or -10º. The TqMgmt Adv (º) field stays at zero, but timing is definitely being pulled out. So, I am wondeirng if there are any other fields I should be looking or logging to see where this retard is coming form?
