I'm thinking the "tire barking" might have been a reference to a vehicle that didn't weigh 6000 lbs.

The shifts are clean, quick.. and feel good.BUT i don't get the "tire barking" affect that was said in the top post.. However i have one done what was said on the tuneing guide, i haven't started bringing the shift pressures over the "recomended 15psi" .So we will see with a bit of work and ill reply again....

hey 99ls1..... I can make the tires bark 1-2shift by reducing the tq managment to 50%.... and doing that before i even added my tune........ 6000lbs or not....

Hey cory, didnt find anything that you missed, apart from the shift pressures that you said. You could bring down the TQ TM in the engine, since the 1st - 6th gear tables also correlate to trans TM.

I got my a6 guide via email the other day, as usual very professional stuff guys

Now I just need to find some time to go through it thouroughly...

Looks like weve already added some new tables that will be in 2.24 lol...its amazing how complex the a6 is,nice to see a training company tackling it.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

A wise man once said "google it"

Maybe I need those new tables to get this A6 to downshift. Below 25 mph downshift is like it's suppose to be. at 25 mph or in 5th or 6th gear it's very lazy. Ian and I have had no success so far with any of the tables concerning TM reduction for downshift.

i know its an older thread guys but i finally got to test the A6 changes today in my fathers 06 Holden Calais, 90% of the setup is spot on but it just shifts to hard at light throttle in 1st-3rd gears. WOT is awesome and the box finally knows what its doing instead of hunting around for gears all the time, its an absolute pleasure to drive except for the hard shifts at light throttle acceleration.
    Help please.
    cheers tim
Give it a go yourself first, if it doesnt work out then pay someone.

i have followed the book carefully and adjusted everything as recommended,, now i started to have issues already,,

when i start the engine the car kicks instantly just like it engages a gear on high rpm,, the car doesn't move only kicks,, also 2-3 and 3-4 shifts flare take so much time in all 3 modes,,

i even flashed TCM back to stock and the problem still exists,,

    please,, advise,,
