    MAF Calibration help wanted

I was wondering are these tunes properly set up to calibrate MAF. Initially they were configured to run SD OL. I now want to calibrate my MAF, so I reset the MAF high and low frequency to stock and began to log some files.

File maf cal log 1 was recorded using MAF Cal.hpt.

The MAF calibration tables Airflow vs. Freq. Low and Airflow vs. Freq. High of MAF Cal.hpt were adjusted based on data from file maf cal log 1 as well as a couple of other logs. This formed the new tune file MAF Cal r1.hpt

Today I logged file 8-30 maf cal r1 using MAF Cal r1.hpt Now my AFRs are very lean compared with yesterday’s rich values. In the upper frequency ranges approximately 6% was added, since they were about that rich. Today’s upper ranges are now extremely lean.

It is cooler today would this affect those tables?

The engine is a LS2 with 227/230 cam, headers, ported 243 heads, and a ported LS2 intake.

    Thanks for any help

Post your config file. If you want to properly tune the MAF, just set the high speed mode enable to something higher than your idle, so that you're running pure MAF. From there, I typically use LTFTs to dial in the MAF, unless the car is in PE, at which point I refer to my wideband. I don't see an AFR Error PID in your scanner anyway, which would really help you.

    thank you.

I intend to take another stab at this. I believe I need to disable dynamic airflow, which was not mentioned in the guide I used.

btw...where is high speed mode enable?...I will look

It's in the speed density tab somewhere. I'm at work right now, so I can't tell you exactly where. Set the enable to something like 2rpm and disable to 1rpm, that way it won't reference SD numbers so you don't get interference when trying to tune the MAF.

It is located under airflow then dynamic airflow, i set mine to 200 rpm and 150 rpm. the use your LTFT's to tune for part throttle( i normally keep under 50% throttle and 4000 rpm) and widband for WOT.
