Thread: application key not working...

    application key not working...

    Just got ready to fire up my HPT on a new laptop. I have not used HPT in almost a year. Installed everything, go to open VCM Suite, it asks for the application key, I enter it (even tried copy/pasting it) as emailed from HPT and keeps saying I have entered an invalid key. My serial # matches up with the one in the support email containing the key. What is going on here and how do I get this to work?

    Oops, just realized I installed from the disk but never updated to the newest version (like I said, it's been a while so my memory is rusty). Hopefully, that's it.

    Yeah there were a few interfaces that were sent with slightly out of date software disks, in those cases just make sure you've updated to the latest public software & try again.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    Yup, that was it. Embarrassed that I even asked now lol. It hit me after I typed the OP that it had to be updated. All up and working now. Thanks Bill.
