    Hot-key bidirectional controls?

Thinking about this today while logging.

I would like to be able to get a "push" of a specific
state of the bidirectional controls, while driving, and
then revert to no-meddling again, by an easy key
toggle. Like spacebar does for scanning.

As an example, for "road dyno" I would like to lock
the TCC and apply full PWM to it. But that's fussy to
do with the mouse while rolling, and if you do it stopped
    you'll stall the motor.

I'd like to be rolling slow, hit the ` (back-tick) key and
feel it lock up, do the pull and hit the key again to go
    automatic.

Or some other key, just a hard-to-miss one.

Most of the vcm controls were not meant to be messed with on the street and really are meant for an actual dyno in a controlled environment.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I second that. As I stated in another thread.. The ability to do this via eio-input would be great.. in other words, a TCC PWM switch. Do you know how annoying it is to have this god damn truck TCM on the highway? Every single time I let off.. it just lets go. You know the drill. A fix for that, would be awesome.. But a TCC PWM switch would be a nice patch.. The failsafe values I mentioned earlier would help out with the liability. Would just have to make sure you were logging gear and speed.. Then TCC unlocks when it sees that certain speed and gear to prevent the (never want to do that again horrific) event of bucking and stalling with tcc locked..

btw: Jimmy, you could use some sort of macros program.. Or be very crafty (and well spoken) with the W7/Vista Speech Recognition program.. "Mousegrid,5,7,8,4,6,3,Click".
