    Primary VE Tuning?

Im trying to tune my ve table by following the sd tuning guide. So I did a log today and my AFR error histogram shows -52 to around -57 Is that normal? I went ahead and posted a screen shot of what the ve table would look like if I multiply by % and smooth.

Also attached my log, tune file doesn't want to load for some reason.

    Thanks Kyle

06 Gto headers, catback, taylor plug wires

First screen shot is changed and smoothed the second is factory.

Either your wideband or tune is off, but since you haven't posted your tune nobody can help you determine which.

Check your dtc's to make sure your maf is failing, I believe its the p0101 code that must fail for you to drop into speed density mode.

Its showing a po103 I have a aem wideband and i set up a custom pid for it. And it seems to be really close to the gauge reading. other than bounceing around a little on hp tuners.

I don't think p0103 always fails the maf, you can confirm this by changing some maf cells where you know maf would take over 100% in your calibration.

IMO either your not in SD mode or your wideband is not reading correctly.

If you believe the wideband info is good then its likely the other.

Log maf(hz) to see what cells you are hitting in the maf table

Similar to how you are hitting cells in the ve table your maf will still be getting a reading unless you unplugged it so you'll be able to see where you are hitting in the maf table.

OK, OK, slow down. First off, what config are you using? I'm able to take your first log and open it with the default imperial E40 LS2 config (which I'm not sure where I got, but have attached), load all data into histo 7 and I get negative teens, not 50's: See screenshot. Although the EIO PID says AEM Wideband Gauge and I'm not sure where thats coming from. In any case I think your config is the root of your problem. You said you set up a custom histogram for the AEM? Can you attach your config file as well as the VCM Scaner.cfg file?

Bill must be slipping because as long as you see the P0103 DTC set then you've failed the MAF and are in VE/SD mode.

I am now using this cfg. with help from another forum member I think I have found a problem with my laptop. Let me try to explain this as best as I can.

When I right click in my histo gram and load all data I see -50's Someone else looked at my log on ls1gto and sees 14's and 5 liter also? So I install hp tuners on my desktop computer just to try it. And I see 14's in the AFR error histogram like everyone else.

So I tried uninstalling hp tuners on my laptop and reinstalling and I still get the same thing. What am I doing wrong? Please someone help me. I posted a screen shot of what I am seeing the log file is to big to post.
    Thanks Kyle

I think your logging "Commanded AFR High Res", when logging "Commanded AFR Low Res" always works better for me.

Not trying to say your wrong by any means. But why would I be able to see my histograms incorrect. And everyone else sees the histograms diffenent than I do?
