I wonder what the current administration would have to say about all the emissions from the paint being applied, as well as the manufacturing process, and it's effect on global warming.

I think the biggest mistake the administration has with all this going on is they expect everyone to BUY the items they are ramming down our throats. They wanna crush old cars and expect you to BUY a new one for 10's of thousands of $. Well guess what, I don't WANNA BUY something new, I like my "old" 9 year old supercharged 3800 Park Ave. It is nice, comfortable and above all, 100% paid for.

I am not in a position to go out and buy a hybrid or turbo diesel. The only new vehicle I might be remotely interested in is the new GM 4.5L TD. Need to be able to tune it too.... I have heard there is a ton of mpg not in it that should be there.

Obama is one of those characters that thinks his formal education makes him well versed in engineering as well.. cuz duh. I took physics and I got an A in it. The attitude I got from a treehugger is that GM and the rest of the car companies have had all these years to make better emissions and mpg, and that now that thier buddy is in office, he will make them do it, so they have now a short time to do what they think they should have done years ago.

they don't know the first thing about emissions. Funny how they drive their hyrbids around like they are saving energy.. forgetting the law of conservation of energy... 2 motors, electric or not.. plus an auto trans... big time conversion of energy to heat. Not to mention, the stockpile of dead batteries we'll see in years to come.
