I was one of the first on here to use the NGK/AFX with the NTK setup. I switch from AEM, LM1, DynoJet to the NGK/AFX unit based on the recommendation from Greg Banish (Calibrated Success). I even tested the originally equiped Bosch sensor from the NGK/AFX unit against the NTK unit. I no longer support the Bosch units for anything other then monitoring AFR, definately not for tuning. And at just under $400 for the setup, it is the best budget wideband around, compare to industry units like ECM Lambda Pro.

I owned an lc1 when they first came out
I had an lm1 before that
I helped them try to solve some major issues with both pieces
Mainly a bad wiring schene that caused some offset voltage issues
Even after i went into their main office with my own vehicle and showing them the issue... And then showing them how to solve it.. they still didnt want to admit there was a problem.. Yet the engineering department that i talked with daily did see the problem and i was helping them solve it... Yeah ... A problem that "wasnt a problem"
so i gave up and ditched it
I highly suggest avoiding any Innovate motorsports product at this time

I now use the NGK AFX
Same controller as their AFM-1000 with a lesser sampling rate and a few other minor changes for budget reasons
So far it has been the easiest to set up and gas the least amount of problems of any if the widebands i have tried(and i have tried a lot of them)
It also doesnt suffer from offset voltage issues thanks to a propre groundig scheme internally
The bosch sensor isnt bad.. It just doesnt handle high exhaust temps well so you have to be more careful in placement
The ntk sensor is much more tolerant of poor placement

Wideband is up and running.(Thanks Frost) I'm going to log through the a/c press. pid. On the output from the wideband controller, do I wire the ground to a chassis ground? (I was planning on using the same ground as PCM if this is correct)

I ripped both my Lc1 XD-16 setups out with a set of cutters and a hard pull. I wasn't nice about it. There was nothing left but a pile of wasted money on the floor in a lot of little pieces. To inconsistent I couldn't trust them. I'm heading for the NGK AFX setup.

Is the ground connection on the pro interface connected to a pcm/common ground?

The mpvi grounds thru the obd2 port
The eio sectiom grounds thru the mpvi
Which as i just said grounds to the obd2 ground

    However...
Do not ground your wideband power to the eio
Only the 0-5volt data side can be connected to the eio
Any power ground will fry the circuit board traces

Thanks Scott, I wasn't exactly sure how the eio worked. I have the standard type. I'm planning on logging through the a/c pid. If I ground the ground wire from the w/b controller to a quality ground I should be ok, no?
