Generally that's a lean backfire when entering DFCO.

mine isnt really bad, more of a loud burbble. dont even know if thats a word. i can live with it. thanks
Sounds pretty normal. You can really hear it if it goes into DFCO lean. Snap, Crackle, POW!

turn dfco off and t should be better.
Give it a go yourself first, if it doesnt work out then pay someone.
how exactly do you disable it, is there any thing to worry about when turning it off?
go into the engine section, then fueling then fuel cutoff it should have a dfco table in the top centre of the page, it is the enable temp box, all you do is max out the temp in the table, you MIGHT see a slight increase in fuel consumption but i doubt it will be noticeable.Originally Posted by 05vettelag
Nothing to worry about turning it off as i find its best to tune with it off anyway, alot of the owners of the cars i have tuned have asked for a fix to the popping and burbling to stop and this fixes 90% of it.

If you try all of the above and it still doesn't get rid of the pop, try setting your min injector pulse width to 1.6 - I have done this and it has worked every time so far. You can play with that value by a tenth, but too much will give you a cruise control effect. Good luck
thanks for all the answers, ill give it a shot
I've found that timing can increase and decrease the amount of popping on decel.
Try using the VCM controls in the scanner to take away a few degrees of timine at a time to see if it reduces the amount of popping.
Try it by cracking the throttle at idle first. If it helps you'll have to adjust the in gear idle & coast timing tables.

Set your DFCO like this:
2006 Pontiac GTO
2003 Infiniti M45--- Payed off
2009 BMW 135i- Awaiting Transport
Mods: TigerShark Cam Package, Volant intake, GFI Ported TB, GMM Race, MSD Plug Wires, Stainless Work headers w/cats, Magnaflow X-pipe, Kooks "Afterburner" Axlebacks, Pedders Strut Bar, Pedders Street I, Drift R 19", HpTuners
RWHP: 419.72 RWTQ: 402.51
That just fixes the DFCO fuel, there's also DFCO Spark that you have to deal with as well. Haven't figured that one out yet. Always seems to pull the timing no matter what I put in the DFCO settings.
