    Posting a question in a thread that has been inactive for 2 years is not likely to get you a quick answer ... plus this thread is needlessly convoluted.

    Are you trying to set up a switch to access the Performance mode (Tow / Haul) shift pattern ?

    is it any better, being inactive for 12 years? still relevant information, that im searching for, which brought me to this thread.

    In the computer change the performance option to one switch. Give pin C1‐71 a momentary ground, DO NOT USE A TOGGLE SWITCH. Congrats, you now have tow haul mode.

    Edit: Attached my tune file so you can take a look. Notice the "Performance" tables under the transmission tabs, those are for your tow/haul mode, or however you want to set them up. Change Trans>Shift General>General>Perf Option to "One switch"

    Here's a picture of my setup. Just a cheap momentary switch from Advance Auto. Grounded one pin a bolt under the dash, the other pin runs to the input on the PCM.
