Thread: Support for 08 mustang?

  1. #1

    Support for 08 mustang?

I was assuming that there was support for the 08, but when I just looked back in the VSL, it only lists to 07. Does this mean I'm screwed for now?

08 Mustang GT 3 valve, box code vbv1

    thnx,

No I've got an interface, I plugged in, read entire. But it said it failed and something was corrupt? I tried multiple times, then I saved it, tried to open it, and it said "unable to open file, file failed validation check".

I have a 2008 Mustang GT. I have read and flashed many many times. Make sure you have the most recent update of the software.

When you initially read out the file I assume you got a checksum warning screen correct?

At that point it asks you do you want our software to fix the checksum. Did you click yes fix it or no don't fix it?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Yes, I did get that screen. I tried to fix it (clicked yes) then it came up right away with another failure screen (only smaller) saying the same thing that the checksum had failed.

Here's my post from the Help section.
Ok, well I'm getting feedback that this should work on the 08 mustang, but stil no avail. I plug in, do a read entire, and then it says, "flash checksum validation failed". Then it asks me if I want to fix it and use it at my own risk, I say yes, then it says the same thing only in a smaller box, "Flash checksum validation failed, please try reading it again"

This thing is brand new, it litterally only has 300 miles on it, never been flashed (unless cause it's a bullet model it's different)

    VIN 1ZVHT82H585187470
    OS FSAD0T2
    Type Ford Mustang (V8) 2008

And I don't know if it makes a difference, but it took 2:08 to read entire.

It lets me save the file, but then when I try to open it, it says "Undable to open file, failed validation check."

Under HELP the version I'm running is 2.22.3091.14856

I really need to get this thing running and back to the customer. Please don't make me use the Sniper software!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Sincerely,
    CK

I have the same problem with a brand new 2009 Mustang GT. In addition to the above problem of not being able to read the stock tune, when I connect the scanner, it seems to connect until I try to log which it tells me communication with the VCM is dropped.

Yes it does, you are likely running an older beta.
