My friend is in the middle of a LQ9 swap into his 2nd gen T/A. I am helping with the wiring but am not sure how he is going to end up getting his PCM re-tuned.
Right now he has a 2003 escalade PCM that is set up for fly by wire and an auto trans.
He is going to be running a cable TB and a t56 six speed.
I checked the computer and it has blue and green connectors. The pin positions on the PCM almost exactly match those of a 2004 GTO.
I was thinking his best option would be to have the PCM re-flashed as a 2004 GTO? will that work? Is there another option that is better?
