First post! Hows my tune. 2000 Sonoma

I have a 2000 gmc sonoma with the 4.3L L35. I currently have a wait4me tune but bought a HPtuners Pro setup so now I can tweak it. I saved copy of my current tune and uploaded it.

Id like to see if theres anything that looks out of place. I would like to adjust my transmission since it seems to downshift slow, as in I can floor it while cruising and the rpms will go up but the truck wont pull immediately and When I floor it I cant seem to get it to downshift into 1st unless Im going really slow like 25mph. Otherwise itll just downshift into second and seem to bog and not pull worth a darn.

Im still learning and reading this site to figure out exactly what all the tables mean since I dont want to adjust anything unless Im certain what the outcome would be.

Also I shouldhave the wideband in this weekend sometime.

I need to see your stock tune to compare the trans tables. Make the changes as shown to eliminate the PE delay.

You have way too much spark timing. The 4.3's only take 22*-23* spark timing at WOT. Plus your AFR spark table
is adding another .5*-2.5* spark timing in PE.

Ill try to find a stock tune for my truck. Mine was already tuned by wait4me so I dont have the factory tune anymore. Got the wideband hooked up today need to run a log with it but according to the gauge during wot Im lean at 13.8-14.1. Cruising Im hovering 14.2-15. 1/4 throttle lugging it up a hill will bring in low 13's

Well all I can find on here is one from a 01 s10. I think thats when they went to the newer ls1 style pcm but still the same drivetrain.

There is nothing in common between a 2000 4.3 & the 2001+ PCM tables.

Ok, I found a 2000 4.3 Jimmy tune. Make the changes as shown for the trans/revs per mile. Return the normal shift pressure table to stock. Note that your tune has less 1-2 & 2-3 shift pressure than stock! And return the shift time tables to stock.

Also return the main spark advance, and cranking spark tables to stock, then zero the Burst Knock Retard > Lo & Hi Retard tables (or you could set the burst knock drop down box to disabled). Set your PE table to 1.13 (13.0 AFR), and adjust the Maf table to get the actual AFR to 13.0 at WOT. Use the #5 & #8 Maf histograms of my attached .cfg file when scanning. Just insert your brand of wideband in the table display in place of my FJO. The closed loop AFR will be ~14.2-15.2, that is normal.

Already calibrated my speedo for the 255/60r16 tires and 3.73 gears. Thanks ill work on the rest

13:1 should I aim for 12.6:1 or is 13 afr better for the 4.3's?

Is the pe table that I put in 1.13 the power enrich fuel multiplier vs rpm? I had a screenshot but paint doesnt want to open for me right now. But the 1.13 would be leaner then stock Im assuming messing with the maf will correct this?

Sorry Russ didnt realize that even though it had the 26.1 diameter tire and 3.73 gear in the current. It still had like 27.4 calculated tire so I put in the revs/ permile number you listed. Ill flash it after class. Thanks
