Thread: Dodge Progress

Sadly, I had to an excited Hemi owner that I couldn't tune his vehicle. I really want to use HP Tuners since it is product that I am very used to, but I'm starting to lean towards CMR if then keeps on for another Christmas season lol. I know you guys are working hard to provide this for us, so thank you!

I was where you are back in 2009. I am hopeful that HPTuners will eventually hit the DCX market but couldn't wait and purchased the CMR software back then. There is a HUGE difference between HPT and CMR so be prepared for a big learning curve and minimal documentation.

Well this spring when race season restarts my wait will be coming to a permanent end. I had a pretty good setup with sct/superchips stacked on my truck. I went back to just SCT ( superchips locked itself from stacking, but we eventually took care of that issue) then I sold my superchips hoping HP Tuners would be around the corner. My transmission has been waiting 4-5 years since for HP tuners and I can tell its getting tired of waiting. It is just way too confused with the 4.56 gears in the axles now, and its chewing up 3rd/4th gear not downshifting on the hwy as soon as it should. I'll cross my fingers and check back in the spring. Good luck everyone!

I hope it doesn't make it to 1100. I don't think there's any dodge love at HP.

Go to someone with a DRBIII scan tool, tell them you need to reset the "pinion factor" which is revolutions of the tire per mile. You'll have to do some math but there you have it, 50 bucks for a fix that'll stop the trans from acting like a red headed step child off her meds.

I didn't know you could do that with the DRB III, I actually have access to one. I'll give it a try Thursday, thanks for the advice!

That option wasn't available for my '05, too new of a truck or too old of a scan tool? lol

Likely the truck is too new. It worked in my 2000.
