    MC68HC711E9CFN4 Reader/Programmer

    Guys,

What would be the best way to read the EEPROM in this chip?

    Thanks in advance,
    Frank

Axiom manufacturing makes a development board for the 68HC11 that includes a software package that will run in windows that will easily read/program the on-chip PROM, EEPROM, etc. This might be helpful for what you're trying to do.

Here is the PDF manual for this board:

And some other nice HC11 stuff:

Bringing back this thread 20 years later...

I am looking to scan an ECU with an MC68HC11E9. The mcu is not accessible due to a completely closed enclosure. I cut an old one open just to find out what was inside. This is an old Ski-Doo ECU. Even with their software, I cannot edit tables that I would like to (timing, rev limit.) It communicates thru a usb2can for diagnostics via CAN, OWP, kwp2000 250k or 500k. The module has 12 pins to connect to (deutsch connection) and from the vehicle harness the diag port is a small connection. Can anyone shed some light on how to extract, edit and re-flash? Thanks!
